Recent Happenings in Edinburgh

No our web page has not been under construction. We've just been quite busy. It has been an eventful week or so since we last posted: For starters, we moved again!... into our permanent flat at 8/5 Blacket Avenue, and we love it. We are very thankful. There is plenty of space and the view is beautiful. We have also, without any hesitation, decided on St. Catherine's Argyle for church. We are so grateful for this church so close by, and we'll tell you more about it soon. Jim had orientation at New College last week. JT had his first golf lessons (see if you can pick him out). Ella, her first dance lessons. We even attended our first Ceilidh (pronounced kay-lee), which is the traditional Scottish dance, at New College on Wednesday night. Below to the right is a birds-eye view of our park/playground, "The Meadows." How did we get that picture you ask? Well...

...Saturday we hiked our nearby Holyrood Park (a 5-6 minute walk from our flat) and its "high peak," "Aurthur's Seat." And today while Jim had his first official day of work (Latin at the University classics department, building the bibliography for the dissertation research, and setting up at the new study desk at the college), Liz and the kids enjoyed the Royal Botanical Gardens on their day off from school.
